I'm late, I know. and I had been MIA with my blog post... I got tied with my day job - work has been taking a lot of my time, add to that is I'm deeply troubled with personal growth and I'm glad I'm through with it.

I thought everyday is a battle for me to get through.... but going through those moments is also the most rewarding self-growth to remind me that my self is still the best thing to consider first.

Letting go is the most difficult thing to do, forgetting the best and worst times of the past is equally painful to do. and I thank GOD for giving me all the strength to do it all in a short period of time.

Anyways.... here's my layout:

I got this from stast supposedly for the class of Iris. But you know my mojo just came this time.

Title: 10 y.o - this is just a comparison of my photo taken in the same spot. Oh my, I would say I'm proud how I aged gracefully. Im sorry I flatter myself on this one, but I searched for this portrait that Im so proud to share with you. Younger me was so naive and 10 years later is another cute smile preciously captured by My dereast hubby who really witnessed this transformation.

Paper Thrills : Challenge #22

is to make a Layout inspired by a Movie title or any line in the movie. Im even inspired to do more layouts in this theme.

I choose "Love and Other Drugs". I thought love is one of the strongest drugs of all. others may call it medication and will make you alive as long as you are on it or the other way. I thought for me it is the best drug I've ever taken especially in my most downest moment. So its gives me extra amount of energy that keeps me alive.

And now i think this drugs is wearing off slowly...and i dont want to happen sooner. If i can just buy it from any drug store i would really spend millions buying it everyday...

Challenges are just that great at Paper thrills. Imagine that you only have to work on a cardstock and no pattern papers and use up anything available at your stash. oh well i definitely played with my photos, stamps, ribbons and chipboards.

Weekend Escape: Busy...busy weekend and Crafty Sketches Reveal

With my targets this year my weekends is always booked with various activities - so busy.

Saturday I had my muay thai scheduled conflict to our scrapping activity but gladly I was able to attend both. I just need to finish though the four layouts from Pia and Ria' class. Both had beautiful layouts to lift.

Sunday I had my muay thai again. this is every weekend by the way. I got to loose those pounds or those spare tire i have for years in my belly. Then I rushed to Framed Shots Camera Club for monthly meeting. What a weekend actually.

Well, whats the most important news for me this weekend is its the reveal for Crafty Sketches.

Oh yes...I'm so thrilled that I'm back again to share my layouts with you. This is my way of self-motivation and I hope to share it with you.

I really like this new challenge blog - PAPER T HRILLS. This blog got all challenges. I really find it very inspirational each week challenges is so unique. From color palettes, ad challenge, sketches, one word, a lot more.

Scrapbook: 2011 layouts progress

Apologies to my followers and readers as well {although oftentimes I thought I dont have readers anymore but looking at my hits I believe someone out there take time reading my post - THANK YOU very much}.

As my return, I do really hope you spare patience for me- life this time is already okay. No intense emotions anymore like those few months ago reasons why I missed my creative juices to flow. This time I'm back to my trying-hard artist again.

Oh well, I need to be inspired too. So I went on surfing all possible challenges that will spark up my mojo again into scrapping. I got those hoarding again and I need to use them all, right?

I went to Sketchabilities to try their sketches...and here's my take.

I tried Pencil Lines and here's my take. I hoard Bella Blvd papers and there were so cute... just in time for my new journey...to color new pallete of my life.

Oh well, as part of the treat to myself to celebrate my victory of weight loss, I did this mini book to keep my stories behind those journey...What keeps me motivated and why started the weight loss in the first place. I used up my new collected papers.... My little shoe box. I tried hard for those calls...

I did browse so many forums and along the way, I like challenges from Paper secrets in fact very much. and I got to use up my October Aftenoon papers which has been with me more than a year ago.

I do tried another line Lilybee designs. Im trying all my luck actually while motivating myself to keep going my mojo on. I know its really quite a challenge for me to try on but it takes my heart to scrap more. And I love I'm back to scrapping. With my photos filing up...ive got to be working on documenting all stories behind them.

week ten: Splash of Memories

Its a birthday of my old time friend (Au) we fondly call her LA (short name for Lola Au). it was 1999 when I joined mountaneering group (GAC-Globe Adventure club) in my old office. There were years when I was so silent and focus on my daily ends. But lately that I am so happy about I got to keep in touch with them and spend time with what we used to do...adventures and have fun.

Since it was her birthday, she treated us to swimming at Club Manila East. And its summer so just in time to have some splash and outdoor swim. The club has beach waves and oceans, surfing, kayak, swimming pool and slide. Well, just like a child at heart do smile when we see water, young child like us had so much with waters.

week nine: Melodies of my Heart

The current state of my heart this time is vulnerable. In the past few months (since last week of January), my mind and heart is in debate and I end up crying all night, awake in the middle of night crying, and having headaches in the morning for lack of sleep. Gladly after expressing my weakness (just last week) I come to negotiate this feeling and really slowing down my sadness.

Indeed Scrapbook and Photography ease my vulnerability and take the time off going through the day to day. I relate my feelings to some songs my sister Love played on her guitar. Songs are Say it Again, Need you now, F*kin Perfect and Thinking of you.

week eight: Filipino Exotic Food

Our country (Philippines) has 7,107 islands and 175 individual languages. Related to that we have mixed and very interesting food choices, and one of the street foods we enjoy eating are adidas, helmet, bituka, chicharon (skin), balunbalunan (gizard) well almost all parts of chicken we ate.

I choose to highlight "BETAMAX" and style it into a new perspective. I actually gave new flavor of it. Not sure if i did justice. Most of these grilled foods are dipped in vinegar with chili, chopped onions.
And the rest of the cue on the grill are the Tenga (ears), Isaw (intestines) and many more.
Is my invitation to explore new food choices working? I hope I did.

Well, my skills had been tested again not just photography wise but my knife skills and my styling. it has been rusted since I studied culinary 4 years ago. Gladly I still kknow the basics of slicing to get ready for our photo op.

Crrently, I never had the chance already to maximize the potential of my camera and my skills in photography. I hope by this time I got to tap depth of my creativity and savor what my true potential is.

Celebrating New {Me}

Well, I just realized that I really lost those fats that I gained from my depression. So far this time I already lost 25Lbs. but most importantly I gain more muscles from yoga and walking. So to document those little victorious moment for me I requested my hubby and sis to take me picture. To make it more exciting, I pair with Hot Air Balloon festival celebration.

week three: Friendship @ eleven yrs old

I went to my friend's son first birthday. We just realized that we had been a friend for a very long time, we are counting I thought it's only 10 years ago we started our friendship, nope its 11 year's already. What's so memorable is photography is the bridge of all those years. Starting those rolls of film and evolve into digital.

I wanted also to share this trivia: 5 years ago we talked about acquiring condo space that we can share with or at least doors away, supposedly near to where we are staying at that time. But we end up buying a unit miles away from each other. A little sad because sleep over, sharing of dishes can't be done just like before. Then, it's like a cosmic thing, the place we bought has the same theme, same developer and almost the same feel.

week two: Night Getaway

In the past few months I had my mind working all night. It didn't stop going somewhere, missing someone, thinking what if Life is like this and like that. And all I want to to do is just sit down and stop the moment. let the mind flow and just pass the time until I get tired looking at the lights and their reflection. Stars do look good here also. And I love it that every night I sit here and my eyes has something to do and not crying. It makes my heart dance though.

Sometimes life gets tough huh, and I love that I can getaway with it even for a moment.

This is the view I want to share with you too.

week one: everyday jogging path

everyday walking could be boring and tiring if the same view you are seeing every time. I must say it always inspire me to take a 30-minute nature walk. I love to feel the fresh air in the morning and enjoy the star gazing at night.

I wish autumn happen in our tropical country. I do paint them in my memory and making them real. hehehe...play my photoshop.

New Year's Resolution

What I do believe is its a year through plan and see if they are realized at the end of the year. Awesome, right? everyone must have something to look up to like a guiding star.

Goal No. 1 - Work hard and Play Harder

Work --I just realized that I've been so hard on myself since. I just do things I love in minimum. Because I thought I will be guilty of over indulgence. But in effect I was only limiting myself to nurture the passion I need to have. I also had a year through contemplating about my job and career in 2010. The what if's and what should and so much of that tension I just end up of over thinking things and missing the good points happened.

This time I'd really wanted to work harder more than I had ever since. Aim for the gold or even diamond. Whatever it takes "Onward and Upward" (from astroboy movie).

Play harder --And after the day's hard work, I want to play more and what it means? it is spending my time to travel and lots of travel, adventure and explore and most of all party and party. Travel -Island hopping, more beach visits, if I can I would do mountain visits, and most definitely commune with nature as I used to be. Adventure or explore more island's wonder. I thought Philippines has so much promise in terms of nature and I wanted to discover them. And of course, party and party more, wine tasting and food trips. More of country's best food are in the provinces where dishes are fresh, healthy and different. I would also include the street dances and parties to know the culture more. there are number of festivities listed for best street dances and I wanted to collect those mementos in my bucket list.

To pack it all, I need to get fit. So more exercise this time. Have to be prepared... endurance and patience. So walking, jogging and yoga.

Goal No. 2 - Eat, Pray and Love

Eat -- I already started to lose weight last October and keeping them to a perfect shape by eating more healthy choices. More of South beach diet or shall I say "my chef's spirit should be awaken" this time- more new recipes.

Pray --After my second miscarriage I began to question God's mercy and indeed shy away from Him since - this time I thought going back to His arms would make me feel spiritually attuned to His grace.

Love --And lastly, 2010 indeed enlighten me the desire of my soul on the aspect of loving. What I thought was love is just intensified with what is really love. Its cliche to say but love has no definition actually and it really depends on the beholder. I do have my own - loving makes me new person. loving myself makes me love the people around. And loving is just loving a person without asking any return hard to say from a person like me and thats what I want to do now just because I found this kind of "Love".

I definitely have only 2 goals this time and really determined to make them come true.

WELCOME POSITIVE VIBES in 2011!-- hey it's my year - Im just the typical rabbit person.

My life in 2010

I started my year with hanging on but moving forward mindset. But only to find out I was only procrastinating everything.

Actually I never had the attitude of working things right in the first day of 2010. I was just so disturbed and hoping for everything will be okay..in whatever way I was only waiting for stars to fall on my feet and hope for the best. Too bad, right?

Then one day I keep blaming on everybody for what has happen. I was not sleepy though not to notice my negligence but I was too lenient to take everything for granted.

And honestly I was just too lucky to stay at my best and all was provided on my plate. That is I am so grateful.

Most importantly I was able to met the right person who opens the doors and windows for me.

This time is the new beginning of my life.

Hopeful for Brilliant Year ahead...2011

I had been missing my blog, scrapbook and my creative spirit for the past few months...

Been busy with my personal growth, life and love, and self meditation. At the moment I already shaped 20lbs lighter, I learned about the kind of love my heart truly desires, and have new perspective about life. Top of my routine is everyday walking, yoga and a very successful south beach diet. whalah! those negative vibes were shed out and perfect to start life all over again especially for the new year.

This Christmas we spent 10-day holiday vacation in my hometown (Cagayan de Oro, Philippines - the city of the golden friendship) and my birthplace (Cebu City, Philippines - the queen city of south). it was indeed a beautiful means to reminisce my dreams, hopes and everything i wish for came true in my years of yearning. Now I have to make new dreams, explore new endeavor and hope for new beginnings.

Though I gain a little weight from our food trips, Im amazed that my cravings for freshness is satisfied. I got good buys for sumptuous meals from local eatery. And the value of money is always worth to spend.

All About Me - Blog Hop - Happy birthday

Welcome! All about Me has turned 1... I am so happy that I'm part of the celebration and I hope everyone will have a good time hopping around with our fabulous AMM-DT...... if you come here first you can check All About Me blog to start your hopping journey.

I just recently celebrated my birthday like a month ago...I can say it was one of the most memorable celebration...not that fancy thing but it was shared with friends. A wish come true... I had party all night long....bucket of beers... sing a long with local rock bands..... and just enjoy the crowd.... it's a club-thing-experience I already missed 10 years after. And most of all a simple presence of a friend whom I didn't expect to be with.... It was just fun. Then the following day we watch sorcerer's apprentice with my hubby and baby sister Love... it was a high for me...

That day was a blast and my baby sister took some shots for me... I do a quick digital layout (while blogging this) to make it more interesting.....

We are prompt to layout our greatest fear...I can not remember it anymore...so I asked DH, he just said you don't want to be Alone. Then I was brought back to memory lane because this was what I told him 10 years ago before we got married. I thought its so sweet that he remembered how scared I was when I have no family and no friends when he's the only one who comforted me in my homesick nights.

Ive been playing with my stamps, paints, mist and inks...I can not even believe myself I was able to create a layout with a cardstock and scrap pp. I used foam stamp by Donna Downey from the excess mist and instead of cleaning my tattered angels screen I used from other LO... I laid it to my cardstock to create a frame for my photo. I got inspired with the effect that I started to pull out my favorite stamps. I got also excited with mediums I recently bought, I use them for the bird cage stamp, circles and the swirl stamp.

I'm really so proud of this LO because I was able to maximize my stamps...

Journal Challenges: Celebration

It's yearly celebration for LUCBAN, Quezon for tourist to enjoy the "PAHIYAS FESTIVAL". It happens every May 15th. Its actually a Thanksgiving celebration of farmers for a bountiful harvest to San Isidro Labrador.

You can also google more info about this celebration and I would say its a very colorful festival.

As trivia: we almost adopted the nearby town, Tayabas as our weekend home since 2003 but we have never enjoyed this festival like this year. It's just a 3-4-hour drive from Manila. Getting there is well worth it.

AMM Challenge - I'm worthy

In these troubled months I've been through this challenge is just so in time to meditate If I am worthy. I was in search of the lost mojo I was keeping for the past years. I thought I was eaten up with the anxiety of not having my lifetime dream. I actually got lost track of moving forward for life and even thinking to just quit and say goodbye. Oh, this is awful ideals right. Nah, don't fret too much my support system is really working well they actually open my eyes that indeed I am worthy because they got inspired from me. I was just counting the downs Im having not knowing how many are they get motivated of what I said and do to them.

I ask DH why do you think Im worthy....me as a person....I'm so surprise the package I used to sell for myself is indeed working.....so he goes on saying because you are so and so and so...oh well he must be saying those good things right? Then it made me realize "Im not just ordinary person" the reason I am having trouble this time because I wanted to grow up. I felt exploring the other side of my capabilities will excite me back and motivated me more...

Oh well, here's my take on the Challenge at All About Me. Thanks Rachel for the nice challenge.

Not only that, I have also some happy news to keep for myself from this time on. It is the time of life when you wake up in the morning and just smile and your day is just so meaningful to start all over again. I have been through a lot about thinking what path I should take in my career and in my personal life. This thought occupy so much of my time that I lost track of other things that passes by. Little did I know, I am getting hold of wish-come-true like a leap of faith I was expecting months or a year ago. I am enjoying my ride. It was so bumpy and just so happy that now I can laugh at it. I love the joy in my heart....

DH and I have been traveling also, as one of my therapy and I thought I would love to share this with you....my favorite among those thousands of photos...

Welcome peeps to All About Me Sweet Spring Blog Hop.

Well, I'm so proud that I'm one of the design team of All About Me. Every challenge excites me to view different perspectives of my life and as Me. Just because it may appear difficult to share your inner self to public and I have the same issues growing up, I thought the process of scrapbooking oneself is a way of embracing who I am, and I can become.

The challenge this time is "Self-improvement (your biggest flaw)". For me this is not the good time actually of knowing my biggest flaw. I am in my emotional turmoil this time and that I thought I am the biggest flaw. Yes I felt so low this past few months. I'm really thinking as hard as I can what is that I have that I come to this point...so I thought being a "fast learner" is my biggest flaw, you may ask why because once I learned them I easily get bored doing it all over again. Not with scrapbooking because the creative process of it always excite me to learn more and just more and more. I never get bored with it.

Here is my layout:
I first draw a sketch...yes I'm a sketch person. My goal is to have a newspaper type layout inspired by my Graphic 45 papers. Then just lay all skills I learned over the years. I love those Graphic 45 papers, the collections is just perfect.

I am in contemplating what to do and what to expect for the next year end. The fact that I did wrong for disregarding those opportunities laid on me 3 years ago...I should be more careful in all of my decisions now because time is limited already... it is running out for me....

I'm a bit late of my entry for "All About Me" challenge this time...please blame it on my.....LOL life...

Anyway, I have a hard time in choosing what photo I should scrap for this challenge. At this time I'm in contemplation for one aspect in my life. I will share this issue of myself when it is appropriate time.

Growing Up - I thought this time I can already let go from my system but hold the memories in my scrap page my true feelings about what happen.....

"I thought I can depend on you. We have lot's of plans. I invested a lot on what those projects we aimed to be our bread and butter for our family and for your future. When Mama told me you got pregnant few days after graduation it makes me so mad and happy at the same time. And its already five months. Its just a confirmation that you are not taking seriously what we taught you to be more than what you think you can become. So when we decided to send you home we thought its a way for you to grow up. I still miss you but it is superseded with a hope that when we see each other next time you have used all the learnings we passed on to you. I am really hoping that this time you will be what your heart desire. I know its a big responsibility to have an innocent soul depending on your hand I hope you will take care of him more than what we provided you. This is easy for me...for the layout but to know what my personality is....boy, I had the hard time answering those questions on personality test...seems that I'm in between...did I cheat on those questions? LOL. After going through one test I never tried others I thought it may confused me more...

So I did start my LO with my one of my favorite color. I just find myself using these colors since. And I thought I love it especially for a photo op. I love bright colors...it looks good on the photo...LOL.

My Journey

My first assignment for Journal Challenges is about Random Memory...anything and anything about it.

I choose my Footprints photo. I thought of footprints in the sand. The story behind it I'm sure this is so familiar to all of us. This concept is very memorable to me aside from the fact that I love all what is said in the story and in a way I mostly follow what "footprints in the sand" is saying. I thought it's very relevant to each of our daily lives {just my opinion}.

This LO symbolizes my openness to a new perspective. And hopefully my Footprints is towards a direction of what is supposed to be. I lay my judgment and decisions to someone I hope things will get better.

New challenge for march is already up. Inspiration is from......
Mucha was the creator/originator of ART Nouveau (French for new art style)Mucha's works frequently featured beautiful healthy young women in flowing vaguely Neoclassical looking robes, often surrounded by lush flowers which sometimes formed haloes behind the women's heads. In contrast with contemporary poster makers he used paler pastel colors.

I recommend you all look up his Art Nouveau work to get a feel for his style (Google).

I wanted to share this LO's I made for them. I admit I enjoyed doing this project. Those boys are gorgeous. Honestly, it took me extra creative juices to extract because I'm not used to creating an LO for boys because I'm fun adding flowers, blings and butterflies in my LO. But gladly mojo pour much as their mommies smiled ear to ear when they saw this humble gift. Happy to my heart too, ain't enough.

First project is Issey. Created this mini album as his birthday gift.

Second project is for LA. I made LO for my friend and office mate son's 1st birthday.

What can I say journaling is part of my life. I have been doing that since college as part of my theraphy until it became a habbit for me to talk about my feelings and release out those emotional turmoil in me. I kept those journals with hope that someday it will be for a good cause. Believe me it really helps me recover of life's trauma I have been through.

I was excited when I received a mail from Melissa that I will be one of All About Me Design Team. Yeah this is late announcement but you know I was caught with the busyness of life.

I was following this blog so many months ago. And its like a dream come true for me that I can freely be able to scrap about myself because this blog is All About Me challenges. What makes me more attracted to this blog is I love to share to everyone how I learned each day, how I grew older each year. Its not easy to say something about yourself to the world but I thought its one way of growing up. And scrapping about myself is just as good as feeling that I'm still 16 years old. Excited to let everyone know that oh friends this is me....this is the new me.... and a lot of things to tell.....blah..blah..

I would really say I am very thankful to Kristine for the opportunity from November 2009 to January 2010. I'm also very proud that I was included though its so short but very rewarding. Hopefully next term again.

Notes: I choose my fabric stash. I thought its perfect for the contrast of the photo. If you also noticed I have one pattern...polka dots. Honestly because I love circles, so I mixed my polka dots fabric and pattern papers. I also had fun with the stitching that is so related with my another hobby sewing. Well, well...scrapbooking for me connects all I love doing.

Well, I have not been blogging for weeks, reason? I was really busy doing my first love Photography. I missed my baby. I wanted to show you some pictures....I have also been doing some scrap pages and tags to name a few of what keeps me busy. Actually I'm loving my 1st month of 2010, really cross fingers this will be all year through.

This will be my first blog about my first love hobby. Scrapbooking complements though. It makes the two completes my day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year to everyone - be it my followers or new readers. I'm really happy to say that my 2010 goals is starting already-weeks before 2009 ends I've been very busy for a 42-page digital album. Whoa, I made it for 8 days @ 6-8 hours a day.

Though I used to be doing it years ago but this time I could say I missed the smell of the paper, the dirty hands because of the inks and paints. I also missed the glue and scissors. I'm loving traditional scrapbook.

Well, as new year comes everyone is having their resolutions. As for me as I always do I also have a lot in my list and one of these are:
1. Spend more time on doing what I love most- namely are photography and scrapbook. this hobby really gives me so much joy that I thought will always complete me.

2. Loving myself and start what is suppose to be - like running and getting back to balance diet or shall I say proper lifestyle eating habbit.

I know! Many of us envied Iris' creation. How detailed she does her LO's. We have seen her works in manufacture's store, creative blogs, magazines and where else?

Well, as one of her die-hard fans plus she's fellow pinay that makes me more proud - I enrolled her first class. I had 2 specific reasons 1st)learn how she do it and 2nd but the most important)its for a good cause - to help my fellow flooded filipinos living the same place where I lived.

Since this is an online class you can still enrol and learn so many things from the expert. Please check it here

This is my take: the class is entitled Enjoy the process and so did I. I got overly excited that I wasnt able to follow through some of the pointers to work on. But that's the more important right, enjoy the process.

And oh, she offered new class you want to check out also...

ARTastic Challenge

Got an email from Shazza of ARTastic Challenge Blog and I'm very happy that she chooses me to be one of her DT. Thanks Shazza.

Oftentimes, I need some inspirations to kick off my mojo; mostly a sketch will do. This time I found different aspect of inspiration for my LO. And that makes this Challenge blog interesting.

The Challenge blog is taking inspiration from an ARTist. What I like about it is I used to dream to be a painter someday where I can freeze all the moments in life in a canvass. I even enrolled to one of Saturday group of painters in the Phils. I only painted fruits and vases using pastel. Then I gave up and the rest is history. I hope scrapbooking will bring me to that level. And I believe so, knowing the trend this time.

Anyway, being a frustrated artist I would say its not too late to start and I believe ARTastic Challenge Blog will revive my mojo.

As mention in my earlier posts I joined this challenges sites from different inspirations. It is allowed to combine challenges and raffled to a great RAK once uploaded in the gallery. Please check out here to check all challenges you like.

I also hop to another site and found this Challenge blog - Method Playground So i did combine the challenge. The inspiration is from a magazine and interpret in your heart's content. So I did choose this page from Home & Entertaining. I so love the concept of frame within a frame and I also borrow the colors in it.

~~~~Sorry, I am very disappointed with our internet connection and my service provider didn't do anything about it....grrr. I guess I have to switched.

Anyway, I have been surfing and searching for a challenge. I came across this site that covers a lot of challenges. This is still their first run so I gave a try. I joined 10 groups. I'm also challenged myself for so many aspect about scrapbooking and one of these challenges is blogging. Honestly, up until now I still do not know how to maximize the capability of this site. If you can notice in my links on the left side its unfinished really. So one of the reason I joined Ch{all}enge Masters is to encourage me to update my blog regularly.

Another group I joined is Scraplift. I was wondering if I can do this and I just remember I usually do the scraplifting everytime I joined the workshop, and scrapjam. This time I thought to try another LO and here's my take.
