LO-from Iris Babao Uy Class

I know! Many of us envied Iris' creation. How detailed she does her LO's. We have seen her works in manufacture's store, creative blogs, magazines and where else?

Well, as one of her die-hard fans plus she's fellow pinay that makes me more proud - I enrolled her first class. I had 2 specific reasons 1st)learn how she do it and 2nd but the most important)its for a good cause - to help my fellow flooded filipinos living the same place where I lived.

This is my take: the class is entitled Enjoy the process and so did I. I got overly excited that I wasnt able to follow through some of the pointers to work on. But that's the more important right, enjoy the process.

ARTastic Challenge

Got an email from Shazza of ARTastic Challenge Blog and I'm very happy that she chooses me to be one of her DT. Thanks Shazza.

Oftentimes, I need some inspirations to kick off my mojo; mostly a sketch will do. This time I found different aspect of inspiration for my LO. And that makes this Challenge blog interesting.

The Challenge blog is taking inspiration from an ARTist. What I like about it is I used to dream to be a painter someday where I can freeze all the moments in life in a canvass. I even enrolled to one of Saturday group of painters in the Phils. I only painted fruits and vases using pastel. Then I gave up and the rest is history. I hope scrapbooking will bring me to that level. And I believe so, knowing the trend this time.

Anyway, being a frustrated artist I would say its not too late to start and I believe ARTastic Challenge Blog will revive my mojo.

I also hop to another site and found this Challenge blog - Method Playground So i did combine the challenge. The inspiration is from a magazine and interpret in your heart's content. So I did choose this page from Home & Entertaining. I so love the concept of frame within a frame and I also borrow the colors in it.

~~~~Sorry, I am very disappointed with our internet connection and my service provider didn't do anything about it....grrr. I guess I have to switched.

Anyway, I have been surfing and searching for a challenge. I came across this site that covers a lot of challenges. This is still their first run so I gave a try. I joined 10 groups. I'm also challenged myself for so many aspect about scrapbooking and one of these challenges is blogging. Honestly, up until now I still do not know how to maximize the capability of this site. If you can notice in my links on the left side its unfinished really. So one of the reason I joined Ch{all}enge Masters is to encourage me to update my blog regularly.

Another group I joined is Scraplift. I was wondering if I can do this and I just remember I usually do the scraplifting everytime I joined the workshop, and scrapjam. This time I thought to try another LO and here's my take.

Scrappin Mom Idol {Hopeful}

.....very late post.....

Well, a newbie like me do not really know what pressure every week has for the Title. I do not know also what will be required from me in each reveal. So I tried and always surprised that I reached round 5. It was the time when I really gave up- LOL my creative juices didn't cooperate well. But I was so proud of myself then that I was really coping the rules.

I am so much thankful that these event taught me what I needed to have. Thanks to the organizers who really took great effort for the event to happen.


And here's the layout I made for the few rounds I stayed...

Holiday Madness

Meaning I can spent more time on scrapping….miss the materials. Though its budget season for most of corporate like ours but I’m lovin’ this month when scrapping lined up for end of the month. I hop on the net for the sketches I’d loved to try out. Hopefully, till wee hours later I can do more pages. Still have lot of photos piled for years and my hands itching for that scrapping.

Spending the Me-time that I have neglected for many years....

Taking Time: No Deadlines

For few months I’ve been away from deadlines and urgent decision making. Relieve some stress I’ve been experiencing for many years already. It’s a good feeling that I have so much time for myself and to my extra curricular again.

To count those free time productive, I was able to do some of our Anniversary memorabilia. I was starting to prepare it since last year after my second operation. But it was not done because I have to go to work after a month. It was supposed for our 10-year anniversary celebration last July 17. I had my plans but postponed for next two years. So I just collect all our photos in preparation for the celebration. Well to start with, here are the layouts.....

This was our first out of town. Photo taken June 2000 at Baguio. At my skinniest!


After our 5th-year we decided to go back to Baguio.


We supposed to spend another summer this year to same place we often visit but it didnt happen due to family matters so we just spent in our house.


In between those years, rough roads, storms and tornadoes paid a visits and I'm thankful he came into my life. Photo taken April 2002@Pagudpod.....


Just last year when we lost our second angel. I never stop crying the whole month and what he did every night......
